My husband and I, our cat and dog have all spent many wonderful evenings on this couch on the back patio watching the evening sky slowly fade into night. The couch came in one giant box, no assembly required of course, and was very easy to move. The entire box only weighs 100 pounds so it is not a big deal for two people to move. The cushions are quite lovely and are of a simple design. So if they do stain or seriously sun fade, they will be easy to make patterns from to create new cushions.
Our dog is also a 1-year old puppy and the couch holds up wonderfully well to her hyperness. The only thing she has done is chew off the buttons on the bottom cushions but they were just sewn through the cushion itself. Taking off the buttons has actually made it easier to wash the cushions if they should require washing. And you can't even tell that there were buttons there in the first place so it's no big deal.I would not only highly recommend this couch, but I will be buying other members of the set for our patio in the future. Two of the shipping companies tried to get approval from Amazon for re-routing, but nobody at Amazon called them back, and also when I called Amazon I was told I had to deal directly with the shippers (classic run-around). I ended up renting a truck, picking up the pieces from my former house and also from a warehouse in Pacoima, then driving it up to Sacramento.
